2. No fees to seafarers
We do not charge seafarers any fee, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, for recruitment or placement services. This includes registration fees, placement fees and administration charges. Costs you may incur separately — such as travel, certification, medicals or visas — are your own responsibility and are not paid to us.
3. Registration
By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete, that your certificates are genuine and valid, and that you are entitled to work in the positions for which you apply. You agree to tell us promptly if your circumstances, availability or certification change.
4. References and background checks
You consent to us contacting the referees you provide, and to background verification being carried out where a yacht or management company requires it. Verification may be conducted through third-party providers.
5. Introductions
We introduce candidates to yachts, owners and management companies. We do not employ crew, and we are not party to any employment agreement you enter into. Terms of employment are agreed between you and the employer.
6. Employment agreements
You are entitled to examine your seafarer employment agreement before and after signing, and to receive a copy. We encourage you to read it carefully and to raise anything you do not understand before signing.
7. Your data
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy. Your CV and details are shared with prospective employers for the purpose of considering you for positions.
8. Conduct
We expect candidates to attend interviews and joining dates as agreed, and to notify us promptly if they cannot. Repeated failure to do so may mean we stop putting a candidate forward.
9. Complaints
Any complaint about our services can be raised under our complaints procedure.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland.
