Track record
Recent Placements
Roles filled across every department. Positions are removed from the job board once filled and recorded here.
Why filled roles are removed
Leaving filled positions online is a common practice and a poor one. It wastes the time of crew who apply for roles that no longer exist, and it leaves search engines showing vacancies that were filled years ago.
Every position here was live, was filled, and was then taken down. What remains is the record.
What gets placed, and where
Placements run across all four departments rather than concentrating in one. Deck covers deckhand through bosun, officer and captain. Interior runs from junior stewardess to chief stewardess and purser. Galley covers crew chef and sole chef positions. Engineering includes engineers, chief engineers and ETOs.
Vessels are typically between 30m and 90m, private and charter, based across the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the United States. Positions are permanent, seasonal and rotational, and the split between them changes with the season rather than staying fixed.
How long a search usually takes
It depends far more on the role than on the effort behind it. Junior deck and interior positions can be filled inside a week when the timing lines up with a crew-up window. Heads of department take longer, because the pool is smaller and the good people are usually already working. A confidential replacement — where the role is still occupied — takes longest, since candidates have to be approached individually and discreetly.
Where a position is genuinely hard to fill, you will be told that early rather than sent volume to disguise it.
Why crew come back
Most placements are made with people who have been placed before, or who were recommended by someone who was. Crew who have had one honest experience tend to come back at the next move, and they bring the person in the cabin next door with them.
That matters more than any advertising, because it means the candidates put forward are usually known personally rather than sourced from a database on the day.
